God is outside of time. In no way is he bound, then, by time to wait until Jesus died to forgive the sins of all who went before. He sees the faith of Abraham, looks at the blood of Jesus and calls Abraham righteous. Jesus is the Son of God crucified from before the foundation of the world.

I am a lawyer. The distinction between contract and covenant does not exist. Under Ohio law, they are the same. When used as a contrast, a covenant may be one particular clause in the contract (“a covenant not to compete”). Other than that, an excellent article.

Thank you for a well stated article. Ps103:12 describes a conviction that sins have been removed, not just a hope. It seems the roll forward view emerged from study of Hebrews while ignoring the OT.

Awsome!! But what about when you look at your own life and see darkness from sin; and that makes you feel unworthy to praise and worship God? I understand that Jesus told Peter that he would deny him 3 times, and also said “Upon this rock I will build My church.” I feel not only unworthy of His calling on my life, but inadequate as well. It’s like because of His calling I feel like I should be doing something about it. Should I just be patient and wait for Him to answer me back on my submission to His calling? Or should I act on it like the people Jesus healed? (Stretch out your hand and be healed; pick up your bed and walk; open your eyes and see.)??

“To say that we are saved any time prior to, or outside of, baptism, is to ignore the simplicity of the Scriptures”

I believe you are possibly complicating the scripture by saying the above.

I would use caution in stating to anyone that conversion happens anytime other than the moment a heart answers the call

“A good conscience toward God” is what follows and is the result of a changed life at the time of accepting Christ by believing thru faith

21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

My son Matthew was born severly brain injured. We had him for 15 yrs.. I probably prayed every day that God would heal him from all his disabilities and pain. After he passed, it was then that I realized my prayer was answerd, he had to die to get well.
